What Does a Lipid Panel Test Measure?
The lipid panel measures four key cholesterol and fat markers in your blood: total cholesterol, LDL ("bad") cholesterol, HDL ("good") cholesterol, and triglycerides. Together, these markers assess your cardiovascular risk and guide treatment decisions. High cholesterol has no symptoms, making this test the only way to know your levels.
How the Test Works
The Lipid Panel test is performed via a standard blood draw at any Quest Diagnostics location. Your sample is sent to a CLIA-certified lab for analysis. Results are typically available within 1-2 business days in your JustLabs account.
