JustLabs Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the JustLabs website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. About JustLabs
JustLabs is a consumer health platform that enables individuals to order laboratory tests and receive their results directly from independent third-party laboratories.
Important Notice
JustLabs is not a healthcare provider and does not diagnose medical conditions, provide medical treatment, or establish a patient–provider relationship. Any physician or clinician involved in authorizing or ordering laboratory tests operates independently of JustLabs.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into these Terms to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
3. Services Provided
The Services allow users to:
- Select and purchase laboratory tests
- Facilitate laboratory test orders through third-party laboratories and independent ordering providers
- Receive laboratory test results
- Access educational information related to laboratory testing
All information provided through the Services is for informational purposes only and should not be considered medical advice.
4. Laboratory Orders and Results
Certain laboratory tests require authorization by a licensed healthcare professional. When required, such authorization is provided by independent third-party providers and does not create a treatment relationship with JustLabs.
Laboratory results are generated by third-party laboratories and provided without interpretation. You are responsible for consulting a qualified healthcare professional regarding your results.
5. No Medical Advice
Nothing on the Services constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. You should not rely on information from the Services in place of professional medical care. In the event of a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
6. HIPAA and Privacy
Your health information is protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). By using our Services, you acknowledge receipt of our Notice of Privacy Practices. We maintain appropriate safeguards for your protected health information.
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy & Health Data Protection Notice, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference and describes how we collect, use, and protect information.
7. Relationship to Healthcare Providers
JustLabs operates independently from healthcare providers and telehealth practices. Any relationship you establish with a healthcare provider based on your use of the Services is separate from JustLabs and governed by that provider's own terms and privacy practices.
8. User Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information when using the Services. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
9. Payments and Refunds
Prices for laboratory tests are disclosed at the time of purchase. All payments are processed through third-party payment processors. Refunds, if any, are subject to our refund policy and the policies of our laboratory and service partners.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, and software associated with the Services are owned by or licensed to JustLabs and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. JUSTLABS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JUSTLABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JustLabs and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
