What Does a CBC Test Measure?
The CBC with differential is one of the most commonly ordered blood tests. It measures your red blood cells (oxygen carriers), white blood cells (immune system), and platelets (clotting). The "differential" breaks down your white blood cells into five types (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils), helping identify infections, allergies, and blood disorders.
How the Test Works
The CBC test is performed via a standard blood draw at any Quest Diagnostics location. Your sample is sent to a CLIA-certified lab for analysis. Results are typically available within 1-2 business days in your JustLabs account.
