The lipid panel measures four key cholesterol and fat markers in your blood: total cholesterol, LDL ("bad") cholesterol, HDL ("good") cholesterol, and triglycerides. Together, these markers assess your cardiovascular risk and guide treatment decisions. High cholesterol has no symptoms, making this test the only way to know your levels.
